So I got to work this morning (the usual hour and a half early… to beat traffic, and because I like getting there early) and started checking my email. I noticed my dean from college had emailed me. He had entered my work (above: poster series) to the ADDY awards a couple weeks ago. Turns out that the series won a Silver and Best of Show! Of the three ADDY’s, this is my first Best of Show award! It will now be going to Regionals.

This is a series of posters that were made for a charity benefit. Being involved with the Invisible Children and Falling Whistles, I wanted to do more to help raise awareness to their cause. Both organizations raise awareness of child soldiers around the world. I called up a buddy and fellow Art Director, Dusty Pierce, and we decided to put on a benefit to auction off one-off prints. The event would be called Shoe Strings & Hand Grenades.

 

Ad Concept

Here is a concept I did for Kraft’s new Big Stuff. The idea was to get the working man (blue collar) to pick one up for a filling snack while out on the job site. (a tool to “fix hunger now”)
